Our STORY
It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. The Grateful Project is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and a large volunteer staff, we harness our skills and resources to successfully achieve our goals.

Our History
How it Started
June 2021
The Grateful Project was an idea turned Philanthropic effort, brought to Life by The Grateful Collective, and its members.
Launching
Aug 2021
The full formation of The Grateful Project Board of Directors was established, as well as, The Grateful Project's Mission, Vision and Impact Statements.
*Federal EIN filed.
The first Grateful Project was conducted in Dorchester Park, Colorado Springs, CO.
Incorporation
Dec 2021
With our core values finalized, we quickly moved forward with the registration as a non-profit charity in the State of Colorado & full federal incorporation.
501(c)3 Recognition
March 2022
The formation of The Grateful Project 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization was complete with IRS approval in the Spring of 2022.
The first Annual Founders & Board of Directors Meeting.
The Future
The future looks very bright, as we aim to roll-out new projects, fundraising campaigns, member services, and by working closely with local businesses on exciting new Food Security initiatives.
Our PHILOSOPHY
At The Grateful Project, we take pride in being problem solvers who are not afraid to take risks. We believe that with boldness, creativity and heart, there is nothing we can’t accomplish. But above all, our strength lies in teamwork. Each and every one of us has the capability to contribute no matter their experience or background.
